Michael Meert was born in 1953 in Bonn, Germany. After studying in the Berlin Film Academy he completed his studies with wellknown polish director, Krzysztof Kieslowski, among others. After many years of experience in documentary film, he made his first works in fiction and then - due to the fact that he comes out of a family of musicians – turned to the genre of musical films. Today he works in a broad spectrum of fiction and documentary projects - also as a novelist, as scriptconsultant and last not least as a painter. (Foto: Monika Schmitz, Köln)
